So, I’ve never been to a tanning bed! I’m about to turn 20 and now that I’m getting to be financially stable, I figured I could invest in some confidence boosting, such as tanning. I want to start off small, maybe going for 15 mins before work some days. I have dark hair and dark eyes, but fair skin, I love being tanned. I tan pretty easy and my natural tan will last from summer until the new year. Now, I’d like to know…
-How is a tan from the bed different from a natural?
-Do wear bikinis or eye protestants? If so, do you get weird tan lines from them?
-How often do you visit the tanning salon?
-How much do you spend in a month/yeskin analyzer diorar?
-What products do you have to use (oil, lotion, spfs)?
-Do you break out?
-Why do you like your tan?
-Have you ever had a bad experience?
-How long does it take (from walk-in to walk-out)?
Any other advice would be great!
**Please none of that, “don’t go you’ll get cancer”. I’m a cosmetologist.**
Answer:
Maikang Personal Tanning Bedskin analyzer
Maikang 1. Tanning in the sun is the same a tanning in a tanning bed
2. No, tan naked but I do suggest eye protection. I use them and I don’t have tan lines from them
3. A few times a week a week until you get your desired shade and then once a week to keep it.
4. I dont spend anything I have a tanning bed in my home.
5. You need to apply lotion a few a hours before tanning because dried out skin wont tan. Oh and dirty skin wont tan either so shower also. For tanning lotion just get anything they all work ok.
6. I have never broke out
7. I like my tan because I think I look good with it and it gives me confiedence
8. The worst experience is sweating a lot.
9. Some beds are stronger than others so it dependsskin analyzer
Maikang 1. Theres not much difference except when tanning outside you usually wear clothing so you always have a tanline, & in the bed you never have one.
2. I only wear eye protectants & no I have never had a problem with a weird tanline.
3. I usually go about every other day or just 3 times a week.
4.They have tanning lotion at any place to purchase, they’ll suggest whats best for you. PS: DONT GET SOMETHING WITH TINGLE IN IT, especially is your a newbie it stings and hurts if ytour not used to it.
5. The only problem i have had is increase in acne & oily face. Dont wear foundation when you enter make sure you remove that, eye makeup is fine as long as you use your eye protectors.
6.I love having an even tan & not looking mulit colored when getting out of the shower(:
7.The only bad experience i’ve had was getting into a bed after someone who used a tingle lotion & when i got out my whole backside was red and burning, it went away after about 30 to 45 minutes. The bed was cleaned yes but the tingle was so good that it was still working when i went in.
8. The length time depends on the time your tanning for, for example if you tan for 5 mintues they usually give you 6 to 7 minutes before so you can undress and put your lotion on and then get in and either press start or the bed starts automatically, & then after it should take you about 5 minutes to get dressed back. so like 15 to 20.
btw, if you’ve NEVER tanned before and whatnot start with only going for 5 minutes MAX becasue it is very easy to burn. and just increase your minutes upon next visits.
I hope I helped.skin analyzer
Maikang I know you don’t want to hear it, but I’m going to say it anyway. Because I find it so sad that so many people on yahoo answers promote and love tanning bed.
Tanning beds are one of the worst inventions ever and will get banned sooner or later.
And what makes me especially sad and shocked is your latest statement. You’re cosmetologist. I just imagine how many people will come to you and trust your advice. And you’ll fail in a basic and well known (to really educated people anyway) health advice to them. You should not be allowed to be a cosmetologist.
EDIT: Yes, you’re allowed to ask whatever you want. And we are allowed to express what we think and feel. It’s a public board. If you want to hear the truth, this is what you’ll get. But you don’t really want that, do you? You want to hear what you WANT to hear. In that case, go to the tanning salon, they’ll reasure you all right.skin analyzer
