Today I was petting my cat and I discovered a hard uneven lump, about the size of a plum seed/2cms, under his skin. My cat is male, 2 years old and a British Shorthair. He was vaccinated for rabies and some common diseases on the 29th of April this year in his scruff, but this lump does not appear to be on his scruff, but rather near the ribcage under the skin on his right side, so I’m not sure if it is caused by the vaccination or not. It seems slightly uneven/bumpy and hard rather than soft and smooth to the touch, although it is not as hard as a bone would be. When I touch it my cat does not seem to be in pain or uncomfortable in any way. The lump also moves around like the skin when touched. My cat doesn’t have any other symptoms and I have no idea whether this is something dangerous or not. He’s so young and has had no health complaints before. This bump can’t have been here fskin analyzer artistryor long, since it can be felt when grooming or petting and he was groomed by my grandmother every day. However, I can’t confirm whether she noticed the lump or not. Although I also take care of my cat everyday – feed him, pet him, play with him etc. even sometimes groom him, I haven’t noticed the lump before now. I’ve only been grooming him daily myself for a few days, since my grandmother left to the countryside just a few days ago. I called the vet, but I they said I can’t get him taken in for an appointment until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. I am just really upset over here. Can anyone who is more specialized in this area put my mind to ease and give me some options as to what this might be? How likely is it that it’s a malignant tumor? Should I be worried? I read that these can me cysts as well, but the lump isn’t soft or squishy like one so I’m not sure what this could be other than a tumor.. My cat is an indoor cat. We only let him on the balcony which has been fenced off and if he’s there, somebody from the family always sits outside with him. We’ve taken him out on a walk beyond the fence on a leash once, but other than that he doesn’t even have direct contact with the outside world. He hasn’t come into direct contact with any cat before either, so it can’t be from a bite. Help?

Maikang My cat, who is 6 months old was spayed three weeks ago and got her first vaccines as well. Now, I ve noticed a small , uneven lump on her left side near her rib cage. I thought that vaccines were given in the leg area, not the side, so I m not sure if it is a reaction or not. DPskin analyzer
