if Thoughts had wings

if Thoughts had wings
would mine

Fly
like Hawk or Sparrow

would my Ideas stretch across the open sky
like wandering Albatross

or remain confined
in a willow cage
like yellow

would my Hopes beat 100 times a second
faster than bejewelled Hummingbird

Maikang The last stanza sounds like the speaker is asking would his lover always love him and allow his love from his disembodied spirit, like the tail of a swallow, to return to her after he dies and, (still using the metaphor of being a swallow), rest in her nest under the eaves of her roof.skin analyzer
